Washington University's commencement speaker on May 21 will be Nobel laureate and U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu. Chu has promoted Cool Roofs in London, on The Daily Show, and seemingly everywhere he goes. Prior to becoming a cabinet secretary, Steven Chu ran Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, which has been at the forefront of cool roof research for nearly two decades.
